Laurie Brown writes because she loves to, because she needs to in order to stay sane, and because it gets her out of housework. By day a mild mannered accountant, she spends her writing evenings and weekends following her alpha heroes and spunky heroines on their madcap adventures to a happy ending.
Twice a Golden Heart finalist (Long Historical 2001 and Short Contemporary 2002), she has presented seminars and workshops at conferences from California to Florida. In 2006 her workshop at RWA National was chosen for the "TOP 24" cd. She´s been a member of Chicago-North for over 12 years and was honored with the Chapter Service Award in 2002. Her most recent release is HUNDREDS OF YEARS TO REFORM A RAKE (Sept 2007, Sourcebooks). She loves to hear from readers that they laughed out loud while reading her books.
