Award winning author Teresa McCarthy holds degrees in psychology and mechanical engineering. She loves the Regency era with its dukes, balls and the fashionable world. Her book The Convenient Bride won the Colorado RWA Award of Excellence. Her Regency novels have also been finalists in the Holt Medallion, Golden Quill, and Write Touch Readers' Awards. In her past life, she has worked on piping safety for nuclear power plants and has done some technical writing. However, she finds that writing fiction is much more exciting than looking over blueprints and mathematical equations.
