Kate Meader has sold Hot in the Kitchen, a contemporary foodie romance, in a three-book deal to Grand Central Publishing for publication in spring 2013.
In Rides Trouble, the second book in Julie Ann Walkers Black Knights Inc. romantic suspense series, debuted on both the USA Today and New York Times E-Book Fiction bestseller lists. The author is also featured on the October cover of Romantic Times magazine.
Leigh Bailey’s Guyliner is a winner in the Young Adult category of the Charter Oak Romance Writers (CORW) of Connecticut’s 2012 Golden Acorn Excellence in Writing Contest.
A trilogy from Blythe Gifford launches October 16, 2012 with the publication of Return of the Border Warrior by the Harlequin Historical line. Captive of the Border Lord will be released in mid-December, and Taken by the Border Rebel will go on sale in February, 2013.
Hanna Martine has sold the third novel in her Elemental series, as well as two contemporary romances centered on modern-day Highland Games, to Berkley Sensation.

Several Chicago-North RWA® members are nominees for RT Book Reviews’ 2012 Book of the Year awards: Carrie Lofty (“Starlight”), Courtney Milan (“The Governess Affair”), Cherry Adair (“Afterglow”), Susan Elizabeth Phillips (“The Great Escape”), Sarah M. Anderson (“A Man of Privilege”), and Beth Kery (“The Soldier’s Baby Bargain”).
Melonie Johnson’s “To Catch a Fetch” won first place in the Paranormal category in the Heart of Denver Romance Writers’ Molly contest for unpublished writers.
India Powers’ “Demon’s Bane” has finaled in the Paranormal category of three contests: Missouri Romance Writers of America Gateway to the Best, Spacecoast Authors of Romance’s Launching a Star, and West Houston RWA’s Emily.
Mary Jo Burke sold “Mother Nature’s Man” to the Wild Rose Press. It will be released January 16, 2013. She sold “Her Private Collection” to Musa Publishing. It will debut on March 8, 2013.
Jennifer Stevenson’s second Slacker Demons release is out at Musa Publishing: “It’s Raining Angels and Demons.” She has turned in Volume 3 of Slacker Demons, an untitled story of the defrocked Hindu lust god who finds his virgin amnesiac runaway bride.
Cherry Adair’s“HUSH”won the Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award for Best Paranormal Romantic SuspenseHUSH was also nominated for a RITA by RWA in the Romantic Suspense category.VORTEX (Book 3 of the Cutter Cay series) was released on May 22, 2012.
Sarah M. Anderson sold her single title romance Mystic Cowboy to Samhain, slated for a January 2013 release. She also has six Harlequin Desires coming out between now and December 2013.

Clara Kensie’s manuscript Deception So Deadly (retitled to Slice) won 1st Place in the YA category of the Winter Rose Contest and Gotham Writer’s Workshop YA Novel Discovery Contest.
Bees In The Butterfly Garden, the first book in Maureen Lang’s The Gilded Legacy series, was released in June 2012. Her next book, All In Good Time, will be released in April 2013.

Carrie Lofty’s book STARLIGHT, the second in her The Christies series, was released by Pocket on June 26, 2012. Her novella in the series, A LITTLE MORE SCANDAL, was released in May 2012. Her WWII historical romance, HIS VERY OWN GIRL, will be released by Pocket Star in September 2012. Carrie and Lorelie Brown, writing as Katie Porter, sold four books to Samhain. Three are their eroticVegas Top Guns series, beginning with DOUBLE DOWN, to be released in July 2012. The fourth is an erotic Christmas novel for 2012. NIGHTFALL, her book written with Ann Aguirre as Ellen Connor, was nominated for a RITA in the Paranormal Romance category.
Beverly Long sold a 3-book series to Harlequin Intrigue. The first book, RUNNING FOR HER LIFE, will be published November 2012. Publication dates for the remaining books are April and October 2013.
The Heart Gem, a historical romance by Isabella Macotte, was released by the Wild Rose Press on March 28, 2012.

She sold a paranormal romance novella, “No Surprise More Magical”, to Berkley Sensation for inclusion in the anthology UNBOUND. She also sold “In the Dog House”, an erotic romance short story, to Cleis Press, for inclusion in the upcoming anthology ONLY YOU.
UNVEILED, a historical romance by Courtney Milan, was nominated for RWA’s RITA award.
Laura Moore’s book, Believe in Me, won the Golden Quill Contest’s Single Title category.
BOUND, the third book in Erica O’Rourke’s Torn trilogy for KTeen/Kensington came out June 26, 2012. She also sold two books to Simon and Schuster Books for Young Readers in a preempt: Dissonance(fall 2013) and a sequel.
Geneva Rand’s manuscript Bittersweet won 1st place in the Single Title Contemporary Romance category of the Wisconsin Romance Writers Fab Five Contest.
Shannyn Schroeder sold to eKensington in a 2-book deal. The first book, MORE THAN THIS, will be released later this year (2012).
Jennifer Stevenson signed four contracts with MUSA for a paranormal romantic comedy trilogy Slacker Demons plus a novella. The first book in the trilogy, It’s Raining Men, was released July 13, 2012.
Julie Ann Walker sold books 4 and 5 in her Black Knights Inc. romantic suspense series to Sourcebooks. The first book in the series, Hell on Wheels, will be released August 2012, followed by In Rides Trouble (September 2012) and Rev It Up (October 2012).
